Women's March 2020: An Important Movement For Feminism

On January 18, 2020, the annual women's march was held in Washington D.C and across the United States. Many people around the world participated in the women's march as well. This initiative followed related protests in previous years.

The first Women’s March of 2020 was held based on three themes: reproductive rights, immigration, and climate change. The protest had about 10,000 people at the Washington DC march. The Washington DC march ended with a moment of silence and singing performance of a Chilean feminist anthem, A Rapist in your Path, which conveys violence against women.

There were also about 180 cities that participated in the event by organizing their rallies. Compared to previous marches, the first march focused more on campaigns and less on celebrities and prominent personalities.
