Feminism includes the constant fight for gender equality. While many women fight for their equality in their everyday life on their own there is also great blogs, Instagram accounts and other social media sites that unite women in their fight for equality. Since it is hard to handle the huge variety of online sources, I’ll give you some inspiration in my post today.
Catcalls of NYC is one of my favorite Instagram accounts when it comes to Feminism. Why is that?
First of all, the issue of catcalling does not get enough attention. Many people don’t realize the impact catcalling has on women. The fact that many women don’t feel safe walking home at night is not okay and therefore needs be addressed.
Catcalls of NCY started an initiative that inspires many women around the world and lead to catcall pages in many cities. The basic idea is, that a woman who got catcalled writes the account a message, explaining what happened. The people behind the Instagram account will then go to the place where the woman got catcalled and write the catcall on the ground with chalk. This way people who pass by read the things women have to listen to all the time and therefore become more aware of the issue of catcalling.
Another inspiring account is the Twitter account of Everyday Feminsm. I highly recommend everyone to follow them. They post short but inspiring messages that are very inspirational.

Another source every woman should know is FAIRYGODBOSS. This website is a site made by women for women. The basic idea is that women help other women by posting information concerning equality in the labor market. Women post about their experiences in their jobs, about companies that love women and about how to achieve equal pay. This site is all about #femalesolidarity
